🇮🇳 India Post ploughs on with its monstrous new issue programme for 2017 by releasing 1 stamp and 1 miniature sheet on 5 January. The issue commemorates the 350th anniversary of the birth of the 10th Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh which is commemorated in the Sikh festival, Prakash Utsav. In itself, an attractive issue but one must feel gloomy about the large numbers of new issues currently out of India Post. The next issue - the joint issue with Portugal - will be released just 2 days later on 7 January 2016.
  Rating:- ***.

🇲🇾 More chickens! Pos Malaysia will release a set of 3 stamps and 2 miniature sheets (one printed on transparent foil) on 10 January 2016 to commemorate the lunar new year and featuring the Malaysian Serama chicken. The miniature sheet was designed by Dr. Wong Kum Peng. Rating:- ****.
